In the European Union, peptides intended for in vitro research are legally marketable under certain strict conditions:

  1. They must not be presented as medicines
  2. They are not intended for human or animal consumption
  3. They must be sold exclusively for scientific research purposes

The REACH regulation (EC No 1907/2006) governs chemical substances on the European market. Serious manufacturers and distributors respect these obligations and can provide compliance documents upon request.

For buyers, some essential quality criteria:

  • Certificate of analysis (CoA) provided for each batch
  • Purity verified by HPLC (minimum 98%)
  • Identity confirmed by mass spectrometry
  • Storage and transport conditions respected

Peptides sold as "dietary supplements" or with health claims are illegal in most EU countries if they do not have a marketing authorization (MA).

At Lab Peptides France, we scrupulously respect this regulatory framework : our peptides are sold exclusively for laboratory research.
